Innsbruck, August 09, 2012 – The MAM/BAMED Group operates in the baby product segment and plans to replace its AS/400-based ERP system. The Group gave the go-ahead to implement Dynamics AX 2012 in February 2012.

By implementing the state-of-the-art, fully integrated and internationally leading business software from Microsoft, the MAM/BAMED Group opted to continue the long-standing partnership with systems vendor terna. terna’s comprehensive expertise on the business processes of the baby product manufacturer provides the ideal foundation for the planned business process optimisation. Processes and communication within the internationally active Group were considerably simplified with the integration of multiple clients in Dynamics AX. The Group sees the easy learnability and simple operation of Dynamics AX as a distinct advantage, and this subsequently reduces the amount of training required on the new system to a minimum and increases employee productivity.

“Dynamics AX 2012 is a high-performance business-class software with a wide range of standard functions and unparalleled system flexibility. Dynamics AX can be adjusted to meet customers’ company-specific demands at a very impressive speed”, says Christian Kranebitter, Managing Director at terna, emphasising the strengths of the technologically leading ERP solution from Microsoft.

The MAM/BAMED Group is already using ENGAGE mobile logistics, a solution developed by terna for the mobile management of logistics processes, also scheduled to be integrated in Dynamics AX 2012. The first stage involves the core companies in the Group – the parent company in Switzerland, the Austrian companies and the production centre in Hungary – being migrated to the new ERP system. The Group plans to provide other locations, including those in Thailand, with Dynamics AX 2012.

The MAM/BAMED Group

All of the great success stories start off with a vision. The same is true of MAM. In other words, it all started with the soother and the plan to revolutionise the market for baby products with products that combined design and medical expertise in one product for the first time. The first MAM soother was sold in 1976. Today, more than 50 million MAM baby products are sold every year, making the company one of the world’s leading brands for design in baby products. The MAM/BAMED Group now employs over 500 people and is the market leader in the soother segment in many countries. MAM products are sold in over 50 countries on five continents around the world. www.mambaby.com
