Munich, May 7, 2012 – Munich-based Allgeier Holding has completed the change of its legal form to a European company (Societas Europaea, SE) effective from May 3, 2012. The change in legal form from AG to SE will enable Allgeier to optimize the framework conditions for driving forward the further expansion of the company which already operates beyond German borders and to open up the European market to a greater extent. “The change in legal form represents a further systematic step in our corporate development. We are building on the successful expansion of Allgeier’s international business operations and our strong growth in recent years,” said Dr. Marcus Goedsche, Executive Board member of Allgeier Holding SE.
The SE legal form is the only supranational legal form based on European law available to listed companies headquartered in Germany. “Not only does the European company reflect our international focus, it also significantly fosters the establishment of a modern corporate culture,” explained Dr. Marcus Goedsche. “The Societas Europaea corresponds with our corporate self-perception as a dependable and flexible partner. With our global network of highly qualified experts and high-performance solutions, we are always there to serve our customers from SMEs to transnational groups at any time and in any place,” he added.
The proposal by the Executive Board and Supervisory Board to change the company to a Societas Europaea was approved by the Annual General Meeting on June 21 last year. The headquarters of Allgeier Holding SE will remain in Munich.
