Innsbruck, November 27, 2012 – <\/em>Valora Trade, the leading independent distributor for fast moving consumer goods in Europe, has decided for company-wide standardisation of the IT environment and implements Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 at its location in Austria. Valora Trade also plans to rollout the ERP project to Germany and Switzerland. It will then evaluate whether to transition the Scandinavian branches (Norway, Sweden, Finland and Denmark) to Dynamics AX 2012.<\/p>\n

Valora Trade\u2019s IT environment is currently composed of heterogeneous software installations. The Scandinavian locations have been using the previous version, Dynamics AX 2009, as an ERP component of a proprietary IT application platform (Nordic platform) for the last few years. Locations in the German-speaking branches use various non-integrated software systems including an AS\/400-based application world that is \u2018rather outdated\u2019 according to Christian Herb, CFO at Valora Trade. With Dynamics AX 2012, Valora Trade is opting for a technologically leading ERP solution. The brand distributor expects to achieve a significant increase in efficiency by optimising and standardising its business processes based on the fully integrated software systems.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe IT project affects all of our business processes. By switching to Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012, we are striving for a process-oriented focus for the entire IT infrastructure. We expect improvements and more transparency throughout the entire organisation based on the new state-of-the-art IT infrastructure,\u201d says Christian Herb, emphasising the significance of the ERP project.<\/p>\n

Add-on products generate additional benefit<\/b><\/p>\n

The simultaneous implementation of ENGAGE mobile logistics, a mobile solution for mapping logistics processes developed by terna and fully integrated in Dynamics AX 2012, allows Valora Trade to deliver a high level of automation in the logistics department. Further project phases Valora has in the pipeline include business intelligence, CRM and WMS (warehouse management system).<\/p>\n
